2-      Instant excuse to eat junk food at the airport. “There are no other options”, you might tell yourself.

3-      Airline staff cater to your every need in an attempt to keep you seated.

4-      Free wine, beer and food on international flights. If you’re polite, you can get a few extra refills.

5-      Trashy airport magazines / books.

6-      People watching at connecting airports during lay overs.

7-      Starbucks at the airport – this is exciting for me because there aren’t any near where I live in Phuket.

8-      Duty free shopping / browsing – you really can get some good deals if you are looking for perfume, make up or alcohol. Make sure you are familiar with your final destination’s duty free laws. Most Duty free shops can assist you with this.

9-      Hours to catch up on current (and not so current) movies.

10-   Super comfy travel clothes.
